The Wright Hassall Charitable Trust

The Charitable Trust was first launched over ten years ago. We have a longstanding commitment to the community which is strengthened by the work we do with the charitable trust.

Thanks to this position we are uniquely placed to offer help to local charities that may not get the same type of exposure as the larger national and international charities or with which a member of our staff is closely involved.

The trustees are all members of the Wright Hassall family who want to make a difference and actively contribute to helping others.

Part of our mission, vision and values is to “Give back and make a difference as an honest and diverse business".

As one of the largest law firms in the Midlands we are conscious of our responsibilities not only to our team but also to the wider community of which we are very much a part of.

How do we raise money for the Trust?

We raise funds by holding various sponsored activities and events throughout the year.

Our regular fundraising events include:

Social Events

We work alongside the Wright Hassall Social Committee to raise funds for the Charitable Trust. The money raised through raffles and donations at our social events all go into the Charitable Trust account.

Swear Fees

All swear fees go to the Charitable Trust.

Raffles

Everyone loves a raffle! All money raised by selling tickets for our raffles throughout the year goes to the Trust. We hold raffles for various national days or events.

Staff Sponsorship and Donations

We encourage our employees to propose grants to charities that they are involved with personally, either as volunteers or through circumstance. We are always grateful for any staff donations.

Commitment to the local region

Our 174 year heritage means that we understand local business and their issues. We see the success of our business as being parallel to the success and development of the region. We take an active part in supporting the region and are proactive in our support of its growth and wellbeing. For example, we are members of the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber, Coventry & Warwickshire Champions and Coventry First.
