Freya Summers
Freya is a Partner in the Corporate team advising clients in relation to a range of company law matters.
About Freya
Freya works with a wide variety of business owners, companies and business advising on a range of corporate transactions. This includes share and business sales and acquisitions, joint ventures, investments and reorganisations. She also advises on corporate governance matters such as company constitutional documents, start up arrangements and shareholder documentation.
“It is a great privilege to work alongside business owners, management teams, investors and other stakeholders in businesses and support them on what are often either key strategic arrangements or major points of transition. Whether the transaction is a series of considered acquisitions for business growth, a once in a lifetime sale of a family business or the start of a new venture, I approach each transaction with a positive, creative and supportive outlook to ensure that my clients we achieve their end goals with confidence.”
"Wright Hassall LLP has a broad corporate and commercial practice with notable strengths in the retail, healthcare and education sectors."
Career
Freya joined Wright Hassall in 2022 from legal knowledge provider Practical Law where she spent 4 years in their corporate editorial team. Freya found this 4 years a different challenge from the fast pace of deals work in private practice but the time away allowed her to expand the technical side of her practice. Prior to Practical Law Freya was busy doing deals for national Firms Freeths LLP and Shakespeare Martineau.
Interests
Outside work Freya spends most of her time running around after her two small children.
At the top of her bucket list is to create a children’s book out of the stories she makes up for her kids about a chameleon who is the size of a pea. Who knows, maybe she has the next Harry Potter at her fingertips.
If she had not been a lawyer, she would have loved to have been a journalist as she really enjoys writing and being opinionated (!).
