As an employer or HR professional, how do you ensure that your workforce is being treated fairly and are protected against bullying and sexual harassment in the workplace?
Join us on Thursday 26 September for our latest edition of Rise and Shine Breakfast Briefing for HR Innovators! This is a must attend for all HR professionals and business owners as we are covering the concerning topic of workplace bullying and harassment and the upcoming legislation, the Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023, which is aimed at preventing sexual harassment in the workplace.
With our ongoing campaign to stop workplace bullying, and our annual End Workplace Bullying Day taking place on Friday 25 October, Tina Chander, Partner and Head of Employment Law and Sophie Wahba, Associate will be addressing the concerning topic of workplace bullying and harassment head on. They will be running through the startling results from recent research conducted by Wright Hassall into workplace bullying and harassment and will be discussing how to prevent these behaviours.
Just one day after Wright Hassall’s End Workplace Bullying Day, on 26 October 2024, the new duty to prevent sexual harassment comes into force. Kash Dosanjh, Senior Associate and Gemma Clark, Associate will provide an overview on the background of how this new duty came about and discuss what this legislative change means for employers, along with practical steps to mitigate against risks.
There will also be chance for you to have your say on the topics with interactive polls, Q&As and multiple-choice questions through an interactive platform called “Menti”.
Be sure to bring a mobile phone or tablet to take part. We cannot wait to hear your views on these interesting topics.
