About Mali
Mali’s specialises in dealing with a variety of employment law disputes such as unfair dismissal, TUPE, breach of contract, constructive dismissal, collective redundancies, discrimination, employment status, unlawful deductions of wages, restrictive convenants and bonuses. In addition, Mali advises employer and employees on settlement agreements.
Mali specialism is advising all sized companies on contracts of employment, employees handbooks, and internal procedures. Mali is also experienced in conducting grievances and disciplinary procedures and representing parties in employment tribunals & mediation.
I wanted to express my thanks for the support and coordination of what has been at times a challenging case. It is great to see after all the hard yards, we came out with the result that we all hoped for. It was brilliant to see a great team effort by all.
Experience
Having started her career as a barrister, employment law litigation is Mali’s expertise. Mali has some 20 years’ experience of dealing with the full spectrum of employment law and employment tribunal claims, including defending claims for discrimination, restrictive covenants, Redundancy and TUPE.
- Advised a construction company on TUPE and collective redundancies with a view of saving costs for the client.
- Drafted and advised big commercial client on restrictive covenants that reduced substantially the client’s risk of employees soliciting clients and employees.
Negotiated an agreement on behalf of the employer, where the employee who claimed in excess of £50,000 received a nominal sum and a basic reference. This outcome enabled the employer to save management time and money.
Career
Mali has a Masters Degree from King’s College, London in Dispute Resolution and represented King’s College London in the International Mediation competition that took place in Paris at the International Chambers of Commerce (ICC).
After being called to the Bar, Lincoln’s Inn, Mali worked for an International American company that compensated Holocaust survivors. Mali went on to represent many employers and employees in a variety of employment tribunals working for some of the best solicitor firms in the UK.

Interests
Outside work, Mali enjoys family life, authentic music, concerts, theatre and spending relaxed time with friends.
